Question

Question: If I have prayed ʿAṣr in congregation and then someone who has not yet prayed ʿAṣr comes and asks me to pray it with him, is itdisliked for me to pray with him because of the report that nafl after ʿAṣr is disliked?

Answer

Answer (and Allah grants success): What appears to me—Allah knows best—is that “giving charity” by praying with one who missed ʿAṣr is not disliked, on condition that this not occur at the time when the sun has yellowed and is nearing setting, due to the Prophet’s prohibition of prayer at that time.
