Question: What is the solution for a man who, whenever he reflects upon the created being, immediately reflects upon the Creator, and is unable to repel this satanic thought… etc.?
Answer: Allah, glorified and exalted is He, has commanded reflection upon created things, and has detailed the verses in that field. What is obligatory upon the one who reflects upon created things is that he strive, as much as he can, against the whisperings of Satan; and Allah does not burden a soul beyond its capacity.
Some of the Companions complained of something similar to what you have complained of, so the Prophet (May Allah bless him and his family and grant them peace) said: “Whoever something of that presents itself to him, let him say: ‘I believe in Allah,’” or as said. One should not abandon reflecting on what Allah, glorified and exalted is He, has created because of what you have mentioned; rather, what is obligatory is to resist the whisperings of Satan, and after that nothing is upon him. Rather, that is pure faith, as has come in the narration from the Prophet (May Allah bless him and his family and grant them peace), when a man complained to him of something like what you have complained of and said: “O Messenger of Allah, for my neck to be struck is more beloved to me than that I mention those thoughts,” or as he said.
