Question: A man entered iḥrām for ʿUmrah, then performed ṭawāf and saʿy and forgot shaving or trimming. He then went out to the ḥill and entered iḥrām for another ʿUmrah, for which he performed ṭawāf and saʿy, then shaved or trimmed. Thereafter he remembered that he had not shaved or trimmed for the first ʿUmrah. What is required of this forgetful person?
Answer—and Allah grants success: Entering iḥrām before shaving or trimming for ʿUmrah is not “introducing one rite into another,” and nothing is required for it according to the madhhab, because he had exited iḥrām by saʿy.
