[A Shop That Sells Only on Credit]

Question: There is a shop whose owner sells on credit at more than the market price, with set prices for each item. He opened it for the purpose of selling on credit, and he does not sell for cash. Is such an arrangement permissible for the seller and buyer?

The answer—and Allah is the granter of success: What appears is that this is permissible. There is no objection to the seller setting a high price so that only those buying on credit will purchase, rather than cash buyers.
What is prohibited is for an item to have two prices: one for credit and one for cash. If there is only a single price, there is no objection.
