Question: A man entered iḥrām for ʿUmrah, then performed ṭawāf of the House and prayed two rakʿahs, then shaved but did not perform saʿy—thinking that saʿy was not required. He then committed acts prohibited in iḥrām. What is required of him?

Answer—and Allah grants success: The scholars of the madhhab have said: the madhhab of the layperson is the madhhab of the one he follows. Some scholars have held that ʿUmrah is ṭawāf of the House; thus whoever among those performing ʿUmrah performs ṭawāf of the House has exited iḥrām.
On this basis, nothing is required of the questioner. And Allah knows best. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah bless Muhammad and his pure family, and grant them peace.
