Praise be to Allah. I had written this biographical account of my master and shaykh\u2014may Allah have mercy on him and be pleased with him\u2014approximately one year prior to his passing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I visited him\u2014may Allah have mercy on him\u2014one day before his passing, on 18\/12\/1435 AH, accompanied by A\u1e25mad \u1e24anash al-Shar\u012bf, \u02bfAbd All\u0101h \u02bfAl\u012b al-Qa\u1e0d\u0101n, and his nephew A\u1e25mad ibn Mu\u1e25ammad, and we found him in severe pain. We spoke with him for an hour while he listened attentively, responding only with faint words, yet signs of joy and contentment were evident upon him due to our visit and conversation. He had been lying on his back, but asked his son to help him sit up, and he sat due to the joy and relief that had entered him. We then sought permission to depart; he granted us leave and supplicated for us\u2014may Allah have mercy on him\u2014and this took place between \u02bfA\u1e63r and Maghrib.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Our discussion with him\u2014may Allah have mercy on him\u2014centered on the matter of guidance (al-irsh\u0101d), wherein we affirmed our commitment to continue upon his path and methodology without alteration or deviation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Then, on the following day, 19\/12\/1435 AH, his pure soul departed to the mercy of Allah at noon, after a severe trial which he met with great \u1e63abr and complete ri\u1e0d\u0101 with Allah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He was seventy-seven years of age.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Among his distinguishing qualities\u2014may Allah have mercy on him\u2014in youth and old age, in health and illness, were expansiveness of heart and forbearance, and I never saw him angered or agitated except when angered for the sake of Allah\u2014may Allah have mercy on him and be pleased with him.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
